Hello! Here's to a good Monday. I hope it finds you happy and well!
While it snowed yesterday, I had a sweet morning knitting and relaxing. I'm still working on my confetti socks. I also finished sewing a dress (yay), that I started a couple months ago. I just needed to sew in one sleeve, hem it and make the sash. It may very well be a belt, but doesn't a sash sound special? It can be knotted like the pattern shows or tied in a bow, and I'm a bow kind of girl, so I went with it. Forgive me for hiding a little, but my hair and face were not made up enough to share, being the kind of relaxing Sunday that it was. Can you believe the morning snow was gone by early afternoon? It was cold though, I ran inside after the pictures!
This is my first sewn dress of the year and I'm pleased with how it turned out. It's an easy pattern to sew if you are new to sewing. I like the capped sleeves. They are not too constricting for when it gets hot, but a little more coverage than bare arms. I like a little coverage for sure. I would like to make more, and I'm thinking of all the fabric possibilities. A linen sash comes to mind. Do you have plans to sew for spring?
I'll be taking my boys out today. I'm not sure where, perhaps the zoo or a park.
Well my friends, have a beautiful day. I hope it's full of love. Jeannine:)
